Why? What could a piece of plastic possibly have to do with flying?

Anything on the floor that isn't fully under a seat slides into the escape path

"The bag may not inflate" — the flow works anyway; every incident sees passengers doubting their masks because the bag looks limp. It's fine. Breathe normally

10. Why No Smoking Rules Include the Vape (and the Lavatory Ashtray Mystery)


Smoking has been banned on flights for decades, vaping included — lithium batteries and heating elements plus a pressurized aluminum tube full of people is an obvious no. But then why do lavatories still have ashtrays by law?


Because regulators are realists: if someone breaks the rule anyway, a cigarette must have somewhere safe to be extinguished that isn't a paper-filled trash bin.
